Post Rehab & Injury Prevention

Post-Rehabilitation training is essential to maintaining the gains achieved through physical therapy, such as mobility, stability, balance and recruitment of the primary muscles needed for correct movement and posture. Many people regress and some even suffer a subsequent injury unless they enlist in an effective post-rehab training program. This includes but is not limited to the rebuilding of destroyed proprioceptors – assist with balance when the lights are out – and reprogramming neuromuscular patterns – the body’s roadmap for movement – resulting in ideal biomechanics and posture.

Michael utilizes the Pilates method, a myriad of safe yet effective resistance training protocols, PNF-assisted stretching, manual resistance and self massage to aid in faster healing and long term results.

“To me, fitness is not about working out in a gym. Instead, it’s about envisioning your very own lifelike picture of what you most passionately want to do with your fitness and why. Each time you enter the arena of self improvement, bring your dream along, until one day -sooner than you might expect – YOUR dream becomes YOUR reality. ”
— Michael Gayle

I enlisted Michael’s expertise as a personal trainer and Pilates expert to deal with a painful lower-back issue.  Michael was able to stabilize and strengthen my core such that my back pain went away within a few weeks of starting to work with him.  I maintain my posture and pain-free back by doing a specially-designed exercise program Michael created for me every morning.  I highly recommend Michael for his ability to quickly translate into manifest reality the fitness goals of his clients.

My partner and I hired Michael as a personal trainer as part of our new year’s resolution in 2007. We worked with him for almost six months until moving across the country. I credit Michael with helping me break through both physical and mental barriers that I had in place with regard to working out and exercising. He is part fitness coach, part life coach and all around great guy. Michael always kept things fresh and different in the gym and that really kept me excited to go back.
